Better than I could have wished for. 100% great. Sold tooo cheap. 😎
It was worth the wait...just like shown in picture..Sounds amazing....easy to play. Nothing but compliments!!
I ordered mine last fall when they were first announced and it was just delivered this week. I have been a Zaar Guitar owner of 2 acoustics for over 2 years now and have been extremely satisfied with both my Santos Rosewood and Zircote. Their workmanship, quality, gorgeous builds, overall tone/sound, electrics and playability have been unmatched! So when Craig made the decision to enter an electric sold body guitar into their catalog, well, without hesitation, I was down:) First, the overall design and esthetics are unlike anything on the market! It was a tough decision having a choice of six colors to choose from but I ultimately wanted something that popped so I chose the POLAR REEF/BLACK COMBO so when it arrived and I unboxed it..I had to just stand back, take a moment to behold the beauty of this gorgeous guitar! It is gorgeously handcrafted with an extreme high quality of craftsmanship. I was so anxious to get into my studio, plug it into my Orange Super Crush amp via my pedalboard and crank it. The result was unreal...ballsy, loud and crystal clear Humbuckers shook the room! It was a pro set up and perfectly tuned out of the box. I did not order the case right away as I have so many Strat/Tele type hard cased I thought might fit. Well..haha..they kinda do ok but this guitar design begs for a custom designed and cut case just for The Cicero Black so I will be ordering the case soon:). It plays like butter, smooth, nice, well polished fret ends and slick, sweet neck/fretboard combo. The black Zaar locking tuners are nothing like anything else out there...heavy duty and really gorgeous culminating in a beautiful headstock! OK, Craig, I know you are saying to yourself "will this guy ever stop"? Yup, so yea, I need to get back into my Nashville studio and write some new music with this amazing guitar which will suite my Rock, Metal and Nashville sounds all in one...but I still might plug my Tele in.....sometime ..LOL!
I was skeptical about the quality of this guitar but it's an impressive instrument. I was very happy with my Z420, but that just made me more curious about how well the Z840 performed. I am not disappointed!
This guitar had a slight scar, but it certainly doesn't affect its beautiful tone! I love it, maybe even more than the z420. 🤔
Just received it last week. #1. It’s an absolutely beautiful instrument to just look at
#2 It arrived quickly encased in a beautiful hard case
#3 It sounds very very nice and plays fairly easily. - I’ve been away from the guitar for awhile and I was able to play it immediately and the tone and sound (without the amplification) is awesome
Wanted to wait a little while to send a review so I can get the full effect of what is a beautiful work of art. The cedar top and Ziricote sides and back (ordered the solid wood with electrics) sound very soft and warm and absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with any other guitar. I have an Alvarez solid wood with spruce top and a Taylor grand auditorium with ash top and the Zaar has a much deeper sound and long resignation. What a truly beautiful sound to match the awesome looks.
Hats off to the team at Zaar.
👍
I’ve never had a cedar guitar before but this plays and sounds amazing no pick up but I knew that so my guitar guy is going to install a LrBaggs hi fi bridgeplate pickup system even the case is primo my only gripe is I wish the neck was satin finish but I love the guitar I think in the future I’m going to get the Zaar 12 string thanks for a awesome guitar
I'm blown away by the time of this guitar. Way beyond my expectations for the price! This is one guitar I bought without playing first and have no regrets!
I absolutely love it! Beautifully crafted and perfect fit! Craftsmanship doesn't get any better than this
Now THIS is a nice, supple, lightweight leather strap that is wide enough but not too wide and bulky! In my estimation it's Perfect!!
I’ve played 12 string guitars for over 60 years. Martins, Ovations, Gibsons and Taylor’s and I am so pleased and with the quality, playability and sound. I smile every time I pick it up. Thank you for building this instrument at such an incredible value!
I am relatively new at guitar, but this Z420 Santos Rosewood Acoustic Elite series is absolutely beautiful! It is very heavy and you can tell the quality construction that went into every detail. The solid rosewood body, inlay, and glossy finish are so eye-catching. It has a beautiful deep and rich tone. The case is high quality, heavy, and has a very plush interior and includes a humidity gauge. They even threw in a capo as a gift! To have this level of craftmanship, beauty, and tone, along with the included case and extra gift, I could have easily spent double!
Very impressed with the quality and sound of this guitar! Haven’t laid it down since getting it!
I fell in love with this guitar as soon as I took it out of the case!
It's beautiful, and sounds awesome!
The Z840 Is The prettiest and sounds great.. the other two came yesterday they are pretty but the sound does not seem to be as full. but very nice .they have a new guitar sound. I love Zaar guitars !!! What do you consider The best sounding guitar Zaar has ?
I love the speaker on this thing, as I can get reverb and delay straight out of the guitar itself without having to plug it in. Pickup sounds nice and bright through my rig.
I love this thing. First guitar I've ever had with semi hemisphereacle fret ends, and they look great and feel nice. I have guitars twice this price that don't have frets this nice. Stock pickups are pretty good, but I ended up swapping them out for Zaar's Route 66 set. Came setup well, but I lowered the action a bit and it plays even more buttery than before.
These are a bit lower output than your normal pickup, even when compared to PAF vintage pickups, but when I dialed up the gain, sounds as heavy as any other pickup I've played, but with more clarity!
