What can I say this guitar not only looks stunning but plays like a dream. The sound is just as good as any higher end guitar brand I’ve played.
It says it’s a blem but darned if I can find the blem.
Love this guitar
It was shipped pretty quickly and packaged well. It’s a great addition and fit to my my new Z840E!
There's MUCH I could say about the awesomeness of this guitar (look, feel, tone, features, craftsmanship) and after buying MANY guitars over the past half century from ALL the "brand names," I can say without hesitation, this is my favorite so far. At this pricepoint, I was actually shocked by the sound, playability, SO MANY of the features (both esthetic and hardware) which are really cool and not even found on many of the most expensive guitars I've purchased. I could go on and on, so I'll just leave it with, I couldn't be happier and you can bet I'll be keeping my eyes peeled and back for more. Well done gentlemen...well done...and then some.
I purchased a scratch and dent Z420E and was very pleasantly surprised. The guitar was well packaged and it came in a high quality soft case. The guitar was well set up but there was some buzz on the low E string starting on the 10th fret. I always have my guitars set up by a Luthier. He was impressed with the build, and the quality of the tone especially at this price point. The spacing of the saddle on the 6 and the 1st string was too close to the end of the frets which was causing the problem. He remeasured the saddle and adjusted the notched on the saddle and it was fixed. All and all this is an excellent guitar and well worth the money.
So glad I decided to purchase this guitar. I sure didnt need another one but after playing it in their store on a trip out west, i had to have it. No issues with it and it sounds amazing even for this amateur guitar player.
Totally impressed with the workmanship and beauty. Fits perfectly and enhances the look of the guitar
This is an absolutely beautiful guitar. Plays nicely and has a great tone. I got it as a blem guitar but you truly have to search for any blemish on the it.
It's beautiful although I have not used it yet due to a pickup issue in which Craig corrected immediately with my new z420. Awesome guitars and customer service!
Volume knob does not work. I have to wiggle it to get any kind of sound. Very dissapointed about that
I received my 690 elite and I am so impressed with guitar. I am so happy with my purchase. This thing is so beautiful and it sounds amazing. I have been keeping it in the case with humidifier when I’m not playing it. I’m letting it get used to the new environment. We have a lot of playing to do!
A novel addition to a music room or Den to display your favorite Guitar. The REV sound adds a dimension. Its not small and can occupy more space than you think, make sure your space will allow for it.
Otherwise it's easy to assemble and hold a large Dreadnought with ease. A conversation piece to say the least.
Good day all, where to begin... Craig has been so helpful. When I placed the order for the guitar he wrote me and let me know that this guitars finish differs slighlty from guitar to guitar in terms of color scheme: some are more redish, some les, some look more aged & burnt where as others do not. I told him I perfer the more aged vintage / burnt look. Well, to my amazement the guitar I rec'd could not have been more perfect for me regarding its look. Outstanding hand-rubbed satin finish. The satin neck finish as well makes playability so fast and smooth. The craftmanship is top notch, not a single defect throughout the the instrument. I instantly had a name for her - ' AUTUMN '
I have had the guitar for a couple weeks now and have given its time to adjust and acclimate to my Long Island area. Right out of the case the action was low and playability, even though it was new, was comfortable. As time has gone on the guitar has really openned up. I rubbed some F-ONE rosewood conditioning into itand allowed time for the neck to breathe. I can say that the tonal quality of the guitar is as warm and gentle as any othe guitar costing twice to three times as much regardles of the name brand. It seems to me that each guitar produced is meticulously put together with well selected woods as each guitar requires - not just a "grab some wood and glue it all together mush". even the abolone binding and inlay is stunning. The neck and headstock binding too has a color cordination and well sanded / rounded edges that fit the style of the guitar.
I own a XZaar Z840E as well and a name brand HD-28. Each guitar has its own distinct power voice that when recorded together and overdubbed create a warmth of acoustic heaven. I cant say enough about the guitars that Craig and ZAAR offer. I just know that the interactions between Craig and the interactions between me and the guitars have been an utter joy and highly recommend everyone to at least ry one for the 60 day policy and you will be amazed and convince to keep and to be proud you own a beautiful work or acoustic art as the Z380E & Z840E as i have found them to be.
Wish i could attached a photo...
I’m really enjoying playing this guitar. Great tone, action set to straddle fingerpicking and chording. Plenty of volume and clarity. The pickups are clean and easy to adjust. Nice cloth covered case , and appreciate the humidity sensor on the outside. Beautiful satin finish. I like that it’s all wood, not Formica. E-mail comm has been very good keeping me informed step by step. The included capo is quality, as well. I was a bit leery buying sight unseen from a maker I didn’t know; I watched various youtube videos and took the plunge. Very glad I did!
I don’t have a review yet, bought the guitar for a dear friend. His birthday is April 16 th. Going to give it to him then. The guitar is absolutely gorgeous !! Came in a very nice case. I’m very impressed so far. Thank you Zaar !!!
I bought this with the guitar, The leather strap is wxceptional quality. Looks great on the z380E.
I ordered the Elite Players Pack with my guitar order. The products are rather high quality and the padded strap is super comfortable. The sound hole cover, aside from a wooden work of art, is an extremely handy and useful tool. Prevents feedback while playing live and if playing acoustically quiets the guitar and gives it an atractive mellow tone and really compliments the warmcolor of the guitar's cedar top. The wall mount also high quality; I love the way that thelittle tabs fold inward when you place the guitar onto it. This helps secure the guitar with confidence. Recommend you purchase this along with your ZAAR. This is a great package and great price.
The Z420E is a great looking and playing guitar. Still in the acclimating stage but after a week it is responding to my environment well. Playing, action and sound have gotten better by the day. The electronics sound great. Fit and finish are beautiful. It is impressive.
still acclimating the guitar to my area.
I recently purchased a 720e and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I usually don't purchase guitars without first seeing and playing them, but took a chance with the no questions 60 day return policy . I'm glad I did. This guitar is a beautiful work of art and plays and sounds awesome. If you like quality guitars then get you some Zaars.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received my Z420 Santos Elite. The build quality (wood and inlays) were beautiful, but the sound was unexpected. The tone was so nice through the lows, midrange and highs. It's got a more balanced tone than my Taylor, which was my main guitar. Other than being a little heavier than expected I could not be happier with this guitar. After letting it acclimate and opening it, I've been unable to put it down. I highly recommend Zaar to anybody considering getting one.
I received the Z840E guitar at my workplace. Co-workers & I became so excited and anxious to open. First off, the hardshell case is "the bomb". It is a wonderful "tweed" type but the color is a perfect vintage hue. As we opened the case our eyes jumped out of our heads due to the beautiful finish and the wood tone as well as the abundant abolone inlay and binding onof the guitar. Looks so impressive - like Aztec Jewerly!. I named her Abolonia.
Strummed just a few chords to here the crisp clean tonality of the wood. Crystal clear. Now its time to allow the guitar to acclimate to my environment. I do need to say the action was all too high for my preference. So I left it out of the case for the remainder of the day until tit was time to go home. At home I placed the guitar on a stand and allowed her to become accustomed to my home.
I had her for close to a week now. I made a minor adjustment to the truss rod and lowered the saddle (string action) to my liking (0.75 Low E / 0.65 Hi E) The neck is straight with the perfect relief. (After 55 years of guiatr & bass playing and set up knowledge, these adjustments were 2nd nature and preformed flawlessly.) Now the guitar plays like a dream. I rubbed some F-One conditioner onto the rosewood neck and POW it opened right up. The neck is fast & smooth & is very comfortable in my hands, a nice subtle shallow 'C' shape It feels very well made and solid. Action allows her to sing crispily... whether finger picking with or w/o a thumb pick and soft strumming with a medium gauge pick there are no dead notes anywhere! And she stays in tune pure thanx to the locking tuners.... I havent strummed her too hard as of yet, but in a few days I will give it a complete whirl.
There is only one flaw that I have found. Only one! The 10th fret high E string (D note) the outter fret is lower than it should be and buzzes up on the 11th fret. -Just on that one note only. Not on the entire fret. Hmmm, I have addressed this situation once before on another more costly acoustic and I was able to file and dress the fret for a proper suitable solution so I am not in peril at all -
Over all I compliment the builders of the guitar as it will be a definative "player" in my stable.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this guitar but I was more than pleasantly suprised when it arrived! The custom case that it was in was the first shocker but deservingly appropriate. The guitar itself is the most beautiful guitar I've ever had the pleasure to look at! The best part is the comfort and the sound of the guitar. I have played many different brands and style of guitars and had been looking at buying an expensive Martin. I'm glad I didn't and am already planning on ordering another Zaar in the near future!
